COLO-699N cell line is a human non-small cell lung carcinoma model used for cancer biology, biomarker studies, and therapeutic drug screening.
COLO-699N is a misidentified and contaminated human cancer cell line, originally derived from the pleural fluid of a 57-year-old female with metastatic lung adenocarcinoma, current evidence indicates its true origin is metastatic melanoma from a 36-year-old female donor. Morphologically, these cells exhibit an epithelial-like, adherent growth pattern. This cell line can be used in tumorigenicity studies. Each lot undergoes rigorous screening and isolation procedures, and is rigorously tested to ensure it is free of contamination from HIV-1, HBV, HCV, Syphilis, Mycoplasma, Fungi, Yeast, and Bacteria.

The COLO-699N cell line is widely used in xenograft models to assess the efficacy of anti-cancer drugs and to elucidate the dynamics of tumor growth and metastasis, providing critical insights into therapeutic responses within a living organism. This cell line also serves as a platform for high-throughput screening of experimental compounds and investigational agents in cancer research.
