Description

EJ138 cell line is a human bladder tumor cell line originally isolated from the urinary bladder of an 82-year-old female patient with bladder carcinoma. This cell line exhibits epithelial-like morphology and demonstrates adherent growth properties in vitro culture conditions. Isoenzyme analysis and HLA profiles have shown that EJ138 is genetically identical to T24. It is also sometimes referred to as MGH-U1. This cell line has tumorigenic capability in appropriate model systems. The cells undergo rigorous screening and isolation procedures, and are rigorously tested to ensure they are free of contamination from HIV-1, HBV, HCV, Syphilis, Mycoplasma, Fungi, Yeast, and Bacteria.
