Human Neuronal Glioma cell line
H-4 is a human neuronal glioma cell line that was originally established from the brain tissue of a 37-year-old male patient with neuroglioma. H-4 exhibits epithelial-like morphology and adherent culture properties. The karyotype has been characterized, with a modal chromosome number of 73 and a range of 63 to 78, consistent with the chromosomal aberrations typical of glial tumors. H-4 is widely used to investigate the biological characteristics of glioma, including cell proliferation, migration, invasion, and resistance to chemotherapy or radiotherapy. The cells undergo rigorous screening and isolation procedures, and are rigorously tested to ensure they are free of contamination from HIV-1, HBV, HCV, Syphilis, Mycoplasma, Fungi, Yeast, and Bacteria.

H-4 cells are used extensively in neurobiology and brain tumor research. Derived from glioma, these cells are applicable for studies involving neural cell proliferation, differentiation, and drug responsiveness. Their stable morphology and consistent behavior in vitro enable use in screening compounds for glioma treatment and investigating molecular pathways involved in glial transformation and malignancy.
