Description

HeLa-432 is a cell line with a notable origin and a range of unique characteristics. It is derived from cervical cancer in a woman, sharing the same origin as the extensively studied HeLa cell line. These cells exhibit epithelial morphology, showing the distinct appearance typical of epithelial-like cells. They form adherent monolayers in culture. Genetically, HeLa-432 cells are transfected with an exon 4-deficient variant of ER-PBact cDNA (a human estrogen receptor cDNA). This genetic modification, under the control of the human β-actin promoter, confers resistance to the selective antibiotic G418. The cells undergo rigorous screening and isolation procedures, and are rigorously tested to ensure they are free of contamination from HIV-1, HBV, HCV, Syphilis, Mycoplasma, Fungi, Yeast, and Bacteria.

Application

  • HeLa 432 cell line is valuable for studying estrogen receptor signaling and transcriptional regulation in a cancer context. Their modified receptor profile enables precise dissection of ligand-independent ER activities. They are suitable for drug response assays, stable transfection systems, and mechanistic research on hormone receptor pathways and targeted therapy development.
