Human Esophagus Squamous Cancer Stem Cell; Frozen Vial and Plated cells are available.
HighQC™ Human Esophagus Squamous Cancer Stem Cells (HESCC-CSCs) are isolated from esophageal squamous cell carcinoma tissues and enriched for tumor-initiating properties. These cells exhibit a compact, spheroid morphology and express key cancer stem cell markers such as CD133, CD44, SSEA 3/4, Oct4,. They show enhanced clonogenicity, resistance to chemotherapy, and the capacity to form tumors in xenograft models. ESCC-CSCs demonstrate self-renewal and multilineage differentiation potential, contributing to tumor heterogeneity and metastasis. Gene expression profiling reveals dysregulation of Wnt/β-catenin, Hedgehog, and Notch pathways. Under differentiation cues, they can give rise to epithelial-like and mesenchymal-like lineages, making them a robust model for ESCC progression studies. Each lot undergoes rigorous screening and isolation procedures, and is rigorously tested to ensure it is free of contamination from HIV-1, HBV, HCV, syphilis, mycoplasma, fungi, yeast, and bacteria.

HighQC™ Human Esophagus Squamous Cancer Stem Cells (HESCC-CSCs) are ideal for modeling esophageal squamous cell carcinoma initiation, progression, metastasis, and treatment resistance in both in vitro and in vivo systems. These cells are valuable tools for screening CSC-targeted therapies, studying epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT), and evaluating the role of signaling pathways in tumor maintenance. Their properties as Esophageal cancer stem cells (ESCC) also support investigation of chemotherapy resistance mechanisms, tumor recurrence, and the development of immunotherapy strategies. Their tumorigenic capability in xenografts enables patient-relevant preclinical drug evaluation and biomarker discovery for personalized oncology applications.
