Description

HighQC™ Human iPSCs (Type 2 Diabetes) are disease-specific induced pluripotent stem cells derived from dermal fibroblasts of a clinically confirmed Type 2 Diabetes (T2D) donor. These cells were reprogrammed from dermal fibroblasts using non-integrating vectors. The cells maintain the capacity to differentiate into glucose-responsive cell types, including pancreatic β-cells and insulin-sensitive hepatocytes, making them a physiologically relevant model for metabolic disease research. The cells undergo rigorous screening and isolation procedures, and are rigorously tested to ensure they are free of contamination from HIV-1, HBV, HCV, syphilis, mycoplasma, fungi, yeast, and bacteria.

Furthermore, these patient-derived cells provide a platform for research into cell replacement strategies, which can be differentiated into functional insulin-producing cells.
