Rat Pancreatic trans-differentiated Stem Cells; Frozen Vial and Plated cells are available.
HighQC™ Rat Pancreatic (Trans-Differentiated) Stem Cells (R-PTSCs) are derived from pancreatic tissues of healthy postnatal rats. These cells represent a subpopulation of stem/progenitor cells reprogrammed in vitro toward an endocrine-like phenotype. In culture, R-PTSCs exhibit adherent growth with fibroblast-like to polygonal morphology and form loosely adherent clusters. They express pancreatic progenitor and endocrine-associated markers such as PDX1, NKX6.1, Neurogenin 3 (NGN3), and Insulin/Glucagon transcripts. Under directed differentiation protocols, these cells show enhanced expression of endocrine hormones including insulin and somatostatin, supporting their functional endocrine trans-lineage potential. Each lot undergoes rigorous screening and isolation procedures, and is rigorously tested to ensure it is free of contamination from mycoplasma, fungi, yeast, and bacteria.

HighQC™ Rat Pancreatic (Trans-Differentiated) Stem Cells (R-PTSCs) are highly suitable for investigating trans-differentiation mechanisms within the pancreas, especially for modeling acinar-to-β-cell conversion and endocrine regeneration. These cells support studies on reprogramming-driven diabetes therapy, β-cell replacement strategies, and small molecule screening for pancreatic lineage induction. Their non-genetically modified nature makes them ideal for translational research involving tissue engineering and functional islet reconstruction.
