Strain "SACK-Xn 3C5" adult mouse hair follicle stem cells
HighQC™ SACK-Xn 3C5 Adult Mouse Hair Follicle Stem Cells are adult stem cells isolated from the hair follicle tissue of healthy mice and represent a clonally derived population of non-tumorigenic epithelial stem cells. When cultured under defined conditions, SACK-Xn 3C5 cells can be maintained and expanded in vitro through long-term propagation in xanthine (Xn)-supplemented medium, enabling exponential expansion of a consistent adult stem cell population while preserving genomic and phenotypic stability. Morphologically, they display a small, compact, epithelial-like appearance and grow as adherent cells, often forming colonies indicative of stem cell characteristics. These cells express the epithelial stem cell biomarker LGR-5. Under defined culture conditions, they can be induced to express differentiation-associated markers, including K5, K10, and filaggrin. Functionally, SACK-Xn 3C5 cells can be propagated in vitro under defined conditions and retain the capacity to generate differentiated progeny, including multiple epidermal lineages associated with the hair follicle and interfollicular epidermis. The cells undergo rigorous screening and isolation procedures, and are rigorously tested to ensure they are free of contamination from Mycoplasma, Fungi, Yeast, and Bacteria.
