Human CD4+/CD25+ Regulatory T Cells support immunomodulation research, autoimmunity modeling, and Treg-based therapeutic development applications.
Human CD4+/CD25+ Regulatory T Cells, formerly referred to as suppressor T cells, represent a specialized subset of T lymphocytes. They originate from bone marrow-derived precursors and play an essential role in maintaining immune homeostasis. After primary culture, the cells are cryopreserved. These regulatory T cells suppress or downregulate the activity of other immune cells to prevent autoimmunity and chronic inflammation. However, they may also suppress beneficial immune responses during infection or cancer. Naturally occurring CD4+/CD25+ Tregs express FOXP3, a key transcription factor, and downregulate CD127 (IL-7R), which serves as a useful marker for their identification and purification. In vitro, they exhibit limited proliferation. Repeated freeze-thaw cycles should be avoided. The cells undergo rigorous screening and isolation procedures, and are rigorously tested to ensure they are free of contamination from HIV-1, HBV, HCV, Syphilis, Mycoplasma, Fungi, Yeast, and Bacteria.

Human CD4+/CD25+ Regulatory T Cells are widely used in research on immune tolerance, autoimmunity, and chronic inflammation. These cells suppress effector T cell function and are critical for maintaining immune homeostasis. They are used in transplant immunology, allergy models, and Treg-based therapeutic development. CD4+/CD25+ Tregs also provide insight into cancer immunosuppression and infection-related immune evasion.
