Human Mammary Epithelial Cells, when grown in LIMam Medium, provide an ideal serum-free culture model for many areas of research. Common uses of HMEC include the stages of breast cancer development, three dimensional culture and carcinogen screening.

Cell Features:
HMEC are cryopreserved as tertiary cells, e.g. cells are isolated from human mammary tissue and expanded three times in culture vessels before being harvested for cryopreservation.
