Human Pancreatic Stromal Cells are ideal for in vitro modeling of pancreatic fibrosis and stromal–tumor crosstalk. They are particularly valuable for modeling the desmoplastic reaction in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) and chronic pancreatitis, enabling investigation of paracrine signaling, activation responses to inflammatory cytokines, and stroma-induced chemoresistance mechanisms. Co-culture systems with pancreatic cancer cells enable recapitulation of key tumor microenvironment features. They are also ideal for identification of anti-fibrotic or stroma-targeting therapeutics through quantitative assessment of α SMA expression and collagen secretion.
