Description

Human Parkinson’s Disease Peripheral Blood Mononuclear Cells (PBMCs) are isolated from patients with clinically confirmed Parkinson’s disease (PD), a progressive neurodegenerative disorder characterized by dopaminergic neuron loss and α-synuclein pathology. These human-derived PBMCs contain immune cell populations (T cells, B cells, NK cells, and monocytes) that demonstrate PD-specific neuroinflammatory profiles, including elevated pro-inflammatory cytokine production (TNF-α, IL-6) and increased α-synuclein-reactive T cell responses. The cells exhibit typical mononuclear morphology with intact surface markers and retain functional immune activity, reflecting the growing recognition of peripheral immune involvement in PD pathogenesis. These PBMCs are particularly valuable for studying the gut-brain-immune axis in PD and investigating how systemic inflammation may contribute to neurodegeneration. These PBMCs serve as a key resource for monitoring Parkinson’s disease progression, facilitating PBMC isolation Parkinson’s disease studies, and evaluating strategies for immune modulation in Parkinson’s disease.

Application

  • Human Parkinson’s Disease Peripheral Blood Mononuclear Cells can be used to study the immune dysregulation mechanisms in neurodegenerative diseases, such as the release of inflammatory factors cytokines (e.g., TNF-α), mitochondrial dysfunction, and abnormal metabolism of α-synuclein. These cells can also be used as a source of disease biomarkers to assist in the early diagnosis of PD and monitoring of disease progression by detecting specific gene expression (such as LRRK2) or epigenetic modifications.
