Deploy Human Plateable Hepatocytes From Whole Livers to study xenobiotic metabolism, hepatocyte plating behavior, and in vitro liver disease modeling.
Human Plateable Hepatocytes From Whole Livers are isolated from human liver tissues. Hepatocytes are the main parenchymal cells of the liver. These cells are human in origin, freshly isolated from whole liver tissues. They’re usually provided at passage 0 since they’re primary cells with limited culturing. These cells contain abundant Golgi apparatus and mitochondria, playing an important role in metabolism, protein synthesis and detoxification. Hepatocytes express markers like albumin and cytochrome P450 enzymes, detectable by immunostaining or enzyme activity assays.Studies have shown that in non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), hepatocytes undergo a series of metabolic changes such as impaired ketogenesis. They typically maintain a normal diploid karyotype, keeping their genetic shit intact.Hepatocytes also have immune functions and can produce and secrete innate immune proteins such as Complement C3, MAp19, MASP1, 2 3, and C-reactive protein (CRP).

Human Plateable Hepatocytes From Whole Livers can be used to study liver-specific functions, metabolic studies, pathway identification, P450 induction, uptake and efflux transporter studies, and liver-derived pathogens. In addition, these cells can be used to evaluate human-specific drug metabolism, hepatobiliary drug transport, hepatotoxicity, and drug toxicity.
