Description

Human Preadipocytes–Subcutaneous are primary precursor cells isolated from the stromal vascular fraction (SVF) of human subcutaneous adipose tissue obtained from healthy, non-diabetic adult donors. These fibroblast-like progenitor cells exhibit robust proliferative capacity and are cryopreserved at an early passage to preserve native characteristics. They display a characteristic CD34⁺/CD31⁻/CD105⁻ phenotype, a surface marker profile consistent with preadipocyte-enriched populations exhibiting adipogenic potential in vitro. Upon adipogenic induction (e.g., serum-containing medium with hormones), they efficiently differentiate into lipid-laden adipocytes, displaying upregulation of adipogenic enzymes including FABP4 and LPL. Each lot undergoes rigorous screening and isolation procedures, and is rigorously tested to ensure it is free of contamination from HIV-1, HBV, HCV, Syphilis, Mycoplasma, Fungi, Yeast, and Bacteria.

Application

  • Human subcutaneous preadipocytes offer a physiologically relevant model for studying adipogenesis, lipid metabolism, and depot-specific functional characteristics. They are widely employed to investigate molecular mechanisms underlying obesity, insulin resistance, and adipokine secretion profiles. They are also suitable for drug screening, including testing of anti-obesity compounds, metabolic modulators, and their impact on differentiation and lipolytic activity in vitro.
