Description

Human Subcutaneous Preadipocytes are isolated from the subcutaneous adipose tissue of healthy adult human donors, typically collected from the abdominal or thigh regions via elective liposuction or surgical procedures. The tissue source is subcutaneous fat, and the isolated cell type is preadipocytes-fibroblast-like precursor cells capable of differentiating into mature adipocytes. These cells are cryopreserved at low passage and display a spindle-shaped morphology when cultured adherently. Derived from non-diseased tissue, they represent the early stage of adipogenic lineage and do not express mature adipocyte markers such as leptin or adiponectin at baseline. These cells are thoroughly characterized by flow cytometry and immunostaining, typically expressing markers such as CD34+/CD90⁺ and lacking hematopoietic markers like CD45. Each lot undergoes rigorous screening and isolation procedures and is tested to ensure it is free from contamination by HIV-1, HBV, HCV, Syphilis, Mycoplasma, Fungi, Yeast, and Bacteria.

Application

  • Human subcutaneous preadipocytes are widely used in metabolic research, including obesity, diabetes, and lipid metabolism studies. They serve as ideal models for in vitro adipogenesis, drug screening for anti-obesity compounds, insulin sensitivity assays, and studies on adipose tissue biology and endocrine functions. Furthermore, these cells offer a valuable platform for investigating the role of adipose tissue-derived factors in systemic metabolic regulation and their potential implications in the development of metabolic disorders.
