Human Pulmonary Artery Smooth Muscle Cells (hPASMCs) representing primary human pulmonary arterial smooth muscle cells, are an essential in vitro model for studying the pathophysiology of pulmonary vascular diseases, particularly pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH). They are widely used to investigate smooth muscle cell proliferation, migration, contractility, and extracellular matrix (ECM) remodeling in response to hypoxia, inflammation, and vasoactive agents. hPASMCs are also valuable for evaluating the vasodilatory or anti-proliferative effects of candidate drugs.
