Human whole stomach cells are derived from prenatal stomach tissue that has been dissociated into single cells and frozen. Human whole stomach cells are from a single donor. These cells enable researchers to produce various cell types found within the stomach such as epithelial cells and those associated with the cardiac, pyloric and fundus glands. […]

Description

Human Stomach Cells are derived from the human stomach tissue, which contains a variety of cell types, such as parietal cells, chief cells, G cells and epithelial cells. Parietal cells secrete hydrochloric acid (gastric acid) to break down food and intrinsic factor for vitamin B12 absorption, while chief cells produce pepsinogen, the inactive precursor of the digestive enzyme pepsin. These cells exhibit epithelial-like morphology and grow in an adherent monolayer under standard culture conditions.G cells release the hormone gastrin, which stimulates acid secretion and gastric motility, whereas mucous epithelial cells form a protective barrier against the corrosive effects of gastric acid . The coordinated activity of these cells ensures efficient digestion, nutrient processing, and hormonal signaling. Due to their functional diversity, human stomach cells are valuable for studying gastrointestinal physiology, peptic ulcers, gastric cancer, and metabolic disorders linked to appetite dysregulation
