Description

Rat Bone Marrow Neutrophils (fresh cells in suspension) are primary granulocytic cells isolated from the femoral and tibial bone marrow of healthy adult rats. The cells are supplied in suspension immediately after isolation to preserve viability and native activation state. Morphologically, they exhibit segmented nuclei and granular cytoplasm, characteristic of mature neutrophils. Functionally, rat bone marrow neutrophils play a central role in acute inflammation, microbial clearance, and cytokine secretion. Fresh rat bone marrow neutrophils are instrumental in preclinical models of infection, ischemia-reperfusion injury, and autoimmune disease. Rat neutrophils express high levels of CD11b. These cells do not proliferate in vitro and are not suitable for long-term passaging or repeated freeze-thaw cycles. Each lot undergoes rigorous screening and isolation procedures, and is rigorously tested to ensure it is free of contamination from Mycoplasma, Fungi, Yeast, and Bacteria.
