Rat Spleen Endothelial Cells from AcceGen are isolated from tissue of 1-day-old neonatal Sprague-Dawley Rats.
Rat Spleen Endothelial Cells are isolated from the spleen tissue of Sprague-Dawley rats. These cells are cryopreserved following primary culture. They display cobblestone morphology in adherent monolayers. Rat Spleen Endothelial Cells function to facilitate immune cell trafficking and vascular network formation, with relevance to studies on splenic inflammation, sepsis, and hematological disorders like lymphoma. They express PECAM-1 and ZO-1, and maintain a normal diploid karyotype. Each lot undergoes rigorous screening and isolation procedures, and is rigorously tested to ensure it is free of contamination from Mycoplasma, Fungi, Yeast, and Bacteria.

Rat Spleen Endothelial Cells serve as an in vitro model to study splenic vascular biology and immunological responses in conditions like sepsis or autoimmune diseases. By investigating endothelial interactions with immune cells and pathogens, they provide insights into splenic filtration, lymphocyte homing, and inflammatory pathways, aiding in understanding pathological mechanisms and developing therapies for splenic disorders.
