Description

Rat Stomach Endothelial Cells (Rat Gastric Endothelial Cells) are derived from the stomach tissue of rats. Cryopreserved at early passage, these cells exhibit a cobblestone morphology in adherent monolayers. They function in regulating gastric blood flow, nutrient exchange, and barrier formation, and secrete factors that support mucosal repair, making them relevant to studies on gastric ulcers, gastritis, and gastric cancer angiogenesis. They express endothelial markers such as CD31. These cells have limited proliferative capacity. Each lot undergoes rigorous screening and isolation procedures, and is rigorously tested to ensure it is free of contamination from Mycoplasma, Fungi, Yeast, and Bacteria.

Application

  • Rat Stomach Endothelial Cells serve as an in vitro model to study gastric vascular biology and pathogenesis of diseases like gastritis or peptic ulcers. For example, by investigating their role in regulating gastric mucosal blood flow and inflammatory response pathways, they enhance understanding of vascular-endothelial interactions in gastric homeostasis and pathological changes, aiding in exploring treatments for gastric vascular disorders.
