Rat Stomach Smooth Muscle Cells are isolated from tissue of Sprague-Dawley Rats.
Rat Stomach Smooth Muscle Cells are derived from the stomach tissues of rats. Cryopreserved at early passage, these cells exhibit a spindle-shaped morphology and grow as adherent monolayers. They function in regulating gastric motility through contraction and relaxation, aiding in food mixing and emptying, and are relevant to studies on gastroparesis and functional dyspepsia. They express smooth muscle actin (SMA) and have limited proliferative capacity. Each lot undergoes rigorous screening and isolation procedures, and is rigorously tested to ensure it is free of contamination from Mycoplasma, Fungi, Yeast, and Bacteria.
