BALB/c Mouse Primary Dermal Fibroblasts from AcceGen are isolated from tissue of pathogen-free laboratory mice.
BALB/c Mouse Dermal Fibroblasts are primary cells isolated from the dermis of BALB/c mouse skin. These spindle-shaped cells play a central role in extracellular matrix (ECM) production, tissue repair, and intercellular signaling. In vitro, they display adherent growth properties and proliferation, expressing key fibroblast markers such as vimentin and fibronectin. Dermal fibroblasts are vital in wound healing and fibrosis research, as they contribute to collagen deposition and cytokine secretion under inflammatory conditions. Karyotype analysis confirms the chromosomal stability of BALB/c Mouse Dermal Fibroblasts. These cells are cryopreserved at early passages to maintain phenotypic stability These fibroblasts have a finite lifespan in vitro and can be passaged 3-5 times at a 1:2-1:3 split ratio before senescence. Each lot undergoes rigorous screening and isolation procedures, and is rigorously tested to ensure it is free of contamination from Mycoplasma, Fungi, Yeast, and Bacteria.

BALB/c Mouse Dermal Fibroblasts are suitable for in vitro modeling of skin fibrosis, scar formation, and ECM remodeling. They are widely used in studies of fibroblast activation, response to pro-fibrotic stimuli such as TGF-β1, and drug screening for anti-fibrotic therapies. These cells also serve as a valuable tool in co-culture systems to study epithelial-mesenchymal interactions and skin aging mechanisms. Moreover, these fibroblasts respond dynamically to inflammatory cytokines, including IL-1β and TNF-α, enabling investigation of fibroblast-mediated inflammation. Their secretion of matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) facilitates studies on ECM degradation and remodeling processes.
