BALB/c Mouse Kidney Epithelial Cells

Description

BALB/c Mouse Kidney Epithelial Cells are primary epithelial cells derived from the renal cortex and proximal tubular regions of BALB/c mice (Mus musculus). These cells represent a mixture of proximal tubular epithelial cells and other renal epithelial subtypes involved in solute transport, reabsorption, and barrier integrity. In culture, these cells exhibit a characteristic cobblestone morphology, form tight junctions, and grow as adherent monolayers. They are maintained at early passages to preserve their functional characteristics. Immunocytochemistry and flow cytometry confirm high expression of epithelial markers such as E-cadherin and cytokeratin 18, consistent with renal epithelial identity. Karyotype analysis shows stable murine chromosomal profiles. Each lot undergoes rigorous screening and isolation procedures and is tested to ensure it is free from contamination by Mycoplasma, Fungi, Yeast, and Bacteria.
