Description

BALB/c Mouse Liver Sinusoidal Endothelial Cells (LSECs) are specialized primary endothelial cells isolated from the hepatic sinusoids of BALB/c mice (Mus musculus). LSECs form the innermost lining of liver sinusoids and play key roles in blood filtration, immune surveillance, and lipid metabolism. In vitro, these cells exhibit a flattened, fenestrated morphology and grow as a discontinuous monolayer. They express characteristic markers such as CD31 (PECAM-1), while lacking expression of typical vascular endothelial markers like von Willebrand factor (vWF), distinguishing them from classical endothelial cells. Karyotyping ensures chromosomal stability. Each lot undergoes rigorous screening and isolation procedures and is tested to ensure it is free from contamination by Mycoplasma, Fungi, Yeast, and Bacteria.

Application

  • BALB/c Mouse Liver Sinusoidal Endothelial Cells are well suited for modeling hepatic sinusoidal structure and function in vitro, studying liver immune tolerance, inflammation, and antigen presentation, and investigating endocytosis and scavenger receptor activity in the liver. These cells can also be used for exploring liver microcirculation, immunometabolism, and hepatic pathophysiology.
