Mouse Artery Vascular Smooth Muscle Cells from AcceGen are isolated from tissue of pathogen-free laboratory mice.
C57BL/6 Mouse Artery Smooth Muscle Cells are primary cells isolated from the thoracic aorta, abdominal aorta, and mesenteric arteries of pathogen-free laboratory mice, serving as a classic C57BL/6 mouse model for studying vascular smooth muscle function and arterial health. These cells can regulate vascular tone through contraction and relaxation, mediate extracellular matrix remodeling, and secrete inflammatory cytokines. They are implicated in vascular pathologies including atherosclerosis, hypertension-induced medial hypertrophy, and neointimal hyperplasia following vascular injury. In vitro, these primary cells exhibit limited proliferation and passage capacity. Repeated freezing and thawing should be avoided during culture. The cells undergo rigorous screening and isolation procedures, and are rigorously tested to ensure they are free of contamination from Mycoplasma, Fungi, Yeast, and Bacteria.

C57BL/6 Mouse Artery Smooth Muscle Cells serve as a pivotal model for investigating vascular pathophysiology. They enable in-depth studies in conditions like atherosclerosis and vascular calcification. These cells are crucial for drug screening, such as vasodilators, anti-proliferative agents for restenosis, and profiling the toxicity of environmental toxins.
