C57BL/6 Mouse Primary Liver Epithelial Cells from AcceGen are isolated from tissue of pathogen-free laboratory mice.
C57BL/6 Mouse Liver Epithelial Cells are primary cells isolated from the liver tissue of pathogen-free laboratory mice, serving as an ideal model for molecular analysis of liver epithelium and characterization of mouse liver epithelial tissue. These cells reside in the hepatic lobules and include hepatocytes as well as bile ductular epithelial cells. Following primary culture, these cells are cryopreserved. The cells play critical roles in epithelial barrier maintenance and transport functions, including bile acid handling, while exhibiting progenitor-like properties during regeneration. during regeneration. Studies using these cells link their dysfunction or dysregulation to experimental liver diseases such as toxic insults, cholestasis, and fibrosis initiation through epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT). Phenotypic validation is confirmed by the epithelial markers E-cadherin and ZO-1, demonstrating their polarized epithelial characteristics. Repeated freezing and thawing should be avoided during culture. The cells undergo rigorous screening and isolation procedures, and are rigorously tested to ensure they are free of contamination from Mycoplasma, Fungi, Yeast, and Bacteria.

C57BL/6 Mouse Liver Epithelial Cells serve as a valuable in vitro model for studying liver regeneration mechanisms, epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT), and responses to hepatotoxic agents. Researchers can investigate liver regeneration mechanisms through proliferation and differentiation studies, examine EMT processes in fibrogenesis, and evaluate cellular responses to hepatotoxic compounds or cholestatic insults. These cells help elucidate biliary function and repair processes.
