C57BL/6 Mouse Mammary Microvascular Endothelial Cells enable vascular modeling, tumor angiogenesis, and drug permeability studies in breast tissue.
C57BL/6 Mouse Mammary Microvascular Endothelial Cells are primary cells isolated from the mammary tissue of pathogen-free laboratory mice, serving as an important model for breast endothelial research and mouse mammary microvascular development. They are exclusively localized in the capillary networks of mammary gland stroma. Following primary culture, these cells are cryopreserved. The cells orchestrate critical physiological processes including VEGF/VEGFR2-mediated angiogenesis, VE-cadherin-regulated vascular permeability, and ICAM-1-dependent immune cell trafficking. Studies demonstrate their involvement in breast cancer, mammary fibrosis, and preeclampsia-like placental defects. Phenotypic validation confirms expression of endothelial markers VE-cadherin, von Willebrand factor (vWF), and CD31/PECAM-1. For optimal performance, repeated freezing and thawing should be avoided during culture. The cells undergo rigorous screening and isolation procedures, and are rigorously tested to ensure they are free of contamination from Mycoplasma, Fungi, Yeast, and Bacteria.

C57BL/6 Mouse Mammary Microvascular Endothelial Cells (MMECs) serve as an in vitro model to study the pathogenesis of breast cancer vascular dysfunction in conditions such as triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) and radiation-induced fibrosis. Researchers can utilize this system to investigate VEGF/VEGFR2 signaling in tumor-associated angiogenesis, examine TGF-β-induced EndMT in radiation-induced fibrosis, and evaluate hypoxia-mediated vascular hyperpermeability in metastatic progression. These cells help elucidate mechanisms of tumor vascular hyperpermeability, hypoxia-induced metastasis, and perivascular collagen deposition.
