Mouse Tracheal Smooth Muscle Cells from AcceGen are isolated from tissue of pathogen-free laboratory mice.
C57BL/6 Mouse Tracheal Smooth Muscle Cells, also known as Mouse trachea smooth muscle cells, are isolated from the tracheal wall of C57BL/6 mice. These cells provide contractile force to regulate airway diameter and airflow resistance. These cells exhibit a spindle-shaped morphology typical of smooth muscle and express characteristic markers such as α-smooth muscle actin (α-SMA). Tracheal smooth muscle cells play essential roles in bronchomotor tone, airway hyperresponsiveness, and inflammatory mediator signaling. Studies have highlighted their involvement in asthma, COPD, and airway remodeling. Mouse tracheal smooth muscle cells serve as a model for studying respiratory smooth muscle physiology and disease mechanisms. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles in vitro to maintain cell viability and function. The cells undergo rigorous screening and isolation procedures, and are rigorously tested to ensure they are free of contamination from mycoplasma, fungi, yeast, and bacteria.

C57BL/6 Mouse Tracheal Smooth Muscle Cells are used to study airway hyperresponsiveness, smooth muscle contraction, and asthma pathogenesis. These cells provide a reliable in vitro system for evaluating bronchoconstrictor responses, cytokine-mediated effects, and remodeling processes associated with chronic pulmonary diseases.
