Human lung carcinoma. The cell line COR-L321 was established from a 58 year old female patient after chemotherapy.
COR-L321 is established from a 58-year-old Caucasian female patient after chemotherapy. The COR-L321 cell line grows as aggregates in suspension, forming loosely associated cell clusters. COR-L321 cell line exhibits the genomic copy number alterations, with significant amplifications in key genes such as ERCC6 (excision repair cross-complementation group 6), C10ORF71 (chromosome 10 open reading frame 71), and MYCNOS (MYCN opposite strand). Each lot undergoes rigorous screening and isolation procedures, and is rigorously tested to ensure it is free of contamination from HIV-1, HBV, HCV, Syphilis, Mycoplasma, Fungi, Yeast, and Bacteria.

COR-L321 serves as a valuable model for studying tumor biology, drug resistance, and metastatic behavior in lung carcinoma. Its origin from a post-chemotherapy patient makes it relevant for studying cellular adaptations and resistance mechanisms, such as upregulation of efflux pumps (e.g., P-glycoprotein) or alterations in molecular pathways.
