Advance CTLL-2 Mouse T Cell Line for immunology studies, enabling IL-2 dependency, T-cell proliferation assays, and immune pathway investigations.
The CTLL-2 cell line is a murine T lymphocyte subclone derived from cytotoxic T cells of C57BL/6 mice. It was originally established from a tumor-specific cytotoxic T cell clone and is maintained as an IL-2 (interleukin-2)-dependent cell line. Morphologically, CTLL-2 cells exhibit a lymphoblast-like appearance and grow in suspension culture. As an IL-2-dependent cell line, CTLL-2 expresses the interleukin-2 receptor (IL-2R), making it highly responsive to IL-2 for proliferation and survival. Each lot undergoes rigorous screening and isolation procedures, and is rigorously tested to ensure it is free of contamination from Mycoplasma, Fungi, Yeast, and Bacteria.

CTLL-2 is instrumental in evaluating immunomodulatory drugs, cytokine inhibitors, and cancer immunotherapies targeting CTL activity. Additionally, CTLL-2 is employed in toxicity screening for biologics affecting T cell survival. Its IL-2 dependency makes it valuable for dissecting mechanisms of immune evasion in tumors and autoimmune disorders. The cell line also supports functional assays, such as cytotoxicity tests against target cells and cytokine production profiling, and is useful in studies related to adoptive T cell therapy and vaccine development.
