Description

HEL-92.1.7 is a human erythroblast cell line derived from the bone marrow of a patient with erythroleukemia. These cells grow in suspension and display erythroid precursor morphology, expressing markers such as glycophorin A and alpha-hemoglobin. This cell line is tumorigenic in immunodeficient mice and forms erythroid tumors with features of differentiation blockage. It is frequently used for studies of erythropoiesis, oncogenic signaling, and drug response in leukemia. The cells undergo rigorous screening and isolation procedures, and are rigorously tested to ensure they are free of contamination from HIV-1, HBV, HCV, Syphilis, Mycoplasma, Fungi, Yeast, and Bacteria.

Application

  • HEL-92.1.7 cell line can be used to study erythropoiesis, hematopoietic differentiation, and leukemia biology. It serves as a model for investigating erythroid maturation disorders, translational drug testing, and cancer-specific gene regulation. The cell line also supports drug sensitivity assays and signaling pathway analysis in myeloid malignancies. Its ability to respond to erythropoietin and undergo partial erythroid differentiation further enhances its utility in related research.
