HighQC Human iPSC-Derived Microglia APOE 4/4 C112R/C112R model severe Alzheimer’s disease-associated microglial dysfunction for CNS research.
HighQC Human iPSC-Derived Microglia APOE4/4 (C112R/C112R) are generated from a human iPSC line originally derived from adult skin fibroblasts. These cryopreserved cells provide a defined in vitro model for Alzheimer’s disease research in CNS-resident myeloid lineage. The cells are produced through a directed differentiation protocol to support reproducible lineage-specific experimental systems. These cells carry a homozygous APOE ε4/ε4 (C112R/C112R) genotype with Cys112Arg substitution on both alleles, providing a defined disease-associated genetic background without implying a specific clinical phenotype. They exhibit microglia-like immune functions characteristic of CNS-resident macrophages, supporting neuroimmune research. Quality control testing includes sterility assessment and lineage characterization by protein expression and gene expression assays, where applicable. Each lot undergoes rigorous screening and isolation procedures, and is rigorously tested to ensure it is free of contamination from HIV-1, HBV, HCV, Syphilis, Mycoplasma, Fungi, Yeast, and Bacteria.

HighQC Human iPSC-Derived Microglia APOE 4/4 C112R/C112R are intended for research use in controlled in vitro workflows. They can be used for disease-relevant mechanism studies, genotype-associated pathway analysis, target validation, and candidate therapeutic evaluation in a human iPSC-derived microglia model. As a homozygous APOE4/4 model, this line supports studies of lipid metabolism, amyloid-beta clearance, and elevated genetic risk relevant to Alzheimer’s disease, at the mechanism and assay-development level, not clinical or diagnostic use.
