Human chorionic trophoblast cells, fibroblast-like, 6-month embryos.
Human Chorionic Trophoblast Cells, Fibroblast-like, are derived from human embryonic chorionic tissue. These cells exhibit a fibroblast-like morphology and are cryopreserved at early passage to maintain optimal viability and function. These cells express trophoblast markers including vimentin, human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG), and HLA-G. Chorionic trophoblast cells are key components of the placenta, involved in critical functions such as nutrient and gas exchange, hormone secretion, and immune modulation between mother and fetus. The fibroblast-like phenotype reflects a subset of trophoblasts that contribute to structural support and matrix remodeling during placental development. These cells are widely used in studies related to placental biology, embryonic development, maternal-fetal interactions, and reproductive toxicology. Proper handling and avoidance of repeated freeze-thaw cycles are essential to preserve cell integrity and experimental consistency. The cells undergo rigorous screening and isolation procedures, and are rigorously tested to ensure they are free of contamination from HIV-1, HBV, HCV, syphilis, mycoplasma, fungi, yeast, and bacteria.

Human Chorionic Trophoblast Cells, Fibroblast-like, are an important in vitro model to explore early placental development, trophoblast differentiation, and maternal-fetal immune tolerance. These cells are involved in extracellular matrix remodeling and hormone secretion, playing roles in implantation and pregnancy maintenance. They are also used to study complications such as preeclampsia and trophoblast invasion in pregnancy-related disorders.
