Description

Human Cord Blood CD133+ Cells, Single are isolated from the umbilical cord blood of a single healthy human full-term donor. The tissue source is cord blood, and the isolated cells are hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells (HSPCs) marked by the expression of CD133, a key stem cell surface antigen. They are isolated through immunomagnetic positive selection, ensuring a highly enriched stem/progenitor population. CD133+ cells are multipotent and capable of differentiating into various blood and immune lineages. Morphologically, they appear as small, round, non-adherent cells and do not proliferate in standard culture without specific growth factors. These cells are collected from a single donor to ensure consistent biological background and are cryopreserved immediately after isolation to maintain stemness and viability. Flow cytometry confirms high CD133 expression and depletion of lineage-committed markers such as CD3, CD14, and CD19. Each lot undergoes rigorous screening and isolation procedures and is tested to ensure it is free from contamination by HIV-1, HBV, HCV, Syphilis, Mycoplasma, Fungi, Yeast, and Bacteria.

Application

  • Human Cord Blood CD133+ Cells, Single are ideal for studies in stem cell biology, hematopoietic differentiation, gene editing, transplantation research, and regenerative medicine. They are also used in drug screening, toxicity testing, and for evaluating engraftment potential in vivo or in vitro hematopoietic models. Additionally, these cells offer a promising avenue for investigating the interactions between stem cells and the immune microenvironment, which is crucial for advancing our understanding of stem cell-based therapies and immune-related diseases.
