Description

Human Cord Blood CD133+ Cells, Mixed are isolated from the umbilical cord blood of healthy human donors following full-term delivery. The source material is cord blood, and the isolated cell type is hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells (HSPCs), specifically enriched for CD133 expression, a marker associated with primitive, undifferentiated stem cells. The mixed designation refers to pooled donors, which increases genetic diversity and sample representativeness. These cells are collected using immunomagnetic separation techniques and are typically non-adherent, small, and round in morphology when cultured in suspension. CD133+ cells exhibit high multipotency and self-renewal capabilities and are not considered immortalized, thus, they have limited passaging capacity under standard culture conditions. Karyotype is normal diploid, and they are confirmed to express high levels of CD133 and other stemness-associated markers (e.g., CD34) through flow cytometry. Each lot undergoes rigorous screening and isolation procedures and is tested to ensure it is free from contamination by HIV-1, HBV, HCV, Syphilis, Mycoplasma, Fungi, Yeast, and Bacteria.
