Description

Human Cord Blood CD36+ Early Erythroid Progenitor Cells are isolated from umbilical cord blood obtained from healthy human donors after full-term delivery. The source tissue is cord blood, and the isolated cells belong to the erythroid lineage at an early progenitor stage, identified by expression of the CD36 surface antigen. These cells are enriched through immunomagnetic separation and represent a committed population involved in early erythropoiesis. Morphologically, they appear small to medium-sized and non-adherent in suspension culture. CD36 expression is verified by flow cytometry, alongside markers like CD71 and low/absent CD34, indicating differentiation toward the erythroid lineage. Cytogenetic analysis reveals normal karyotypes. Each lot undergoes rigorous screening and isolation procedures and is tested to ensure it is free from contamination by HIV-1, HBV, HCV, Syphilis, Mycoplasma, Fungi, Yeast, and Bacteria.

Application

  • Human Cord Blood CD36+ Early Erythroid Progenitor Cells can be used for investigating erythroid lineage commitment, globin gene expression, red blood cell development, and disorders such as anemia and hemoglobinopathies. They are also useful for drug screening, functional assays, and evaluating erythropoiesis-promoting agents in translational hematology research. Moreover, these cells serve as a valuable model for studying the impact of genetic modifications or environmental factors on early erythroid differentiation processes.
