Description

Human Hair Inner Root Sheath Cells (HHFIRSC) are polygonal to spindle-epithelial cells isolated from the three concentric layers—cuticle, Huxley's, and Henle's—of the human hair follicle inner root sheath, obtained from healthy donors. These are derived from inner root sheath regions associated with the hair matrix, stabilize the emerging hair shaft, and support follicle exit by producing IRS-specific type II keratins. Their defined IRS lineage, marker profile, and growth properties make HHFIRSC valuable in follicular biology and developmental research. Each lot undergoes rigorous screening and isolation procedures and is tested to ensure it is free from contamination by HIV-1, HBV, HCV, Syphilis, Mycoplasma, Fungi, Yeast, and Bacteria.
