Description

Human HIV-1 Leukopak is collected via leukapheresis from donors chronically infected with human immunodeficiency virus type 1 (HIV-1). Following isolation, the cells are cryopreserved. Research has shown that resting CD4+ T cells from HIV-1-infected individuals harbor latent provirus, presenting a major barrier to viral eradication. This product is ideal for use in latency reversal strategies, immune checkpoint blockade studies, and characterizing host immune dysfunction. Repeated freezing and thawing should be avoided. Each lot undergoes rigorous screening and isolation procedures, and is rigorously tested to ensure it is free of contamination from HIV-1, HBV, HCV, Syphilis, Mycoplasma, Fungi, Yeast, and Bacteria.
