Pooled human liver microsomes are ideal for in vitro assessment of drug metabolism, clearance, and potential interactions. They support cytochrome P450 phenotyping, metabolic stability testing, and phase I/II enzyme inhibition assays. Common applications include high-throughput ADME screening, metabolite profiling, and risk assessment for drug–drug interactions. These microsomes are also used to characterize glucuronidation pathways and quantify metabolite formation rates, offering critical data to guide drug candidate selection and dose prediction.
