Description

Human Osteoarthritis Leukopak is collected via leukapheresis from donors diagnosed with osteoarthritis (OA), a degenerative joint disease characterized by inflammation and cartilage breakdown. After isolation, the cells are cryopreserved. OA leukopaks provide an immune cell source enriched in monocytes, T cells, and inflammatory mediators relevant to joint inflammation and systemic immune alterations in OA patients. These samples are widely used in research examining cytokine profiles (e.g., IL-1β, TNF-α), macrophage polarization, and biomarker development for OA progression and therapeutic intervention. Repeated freezing and thawing should be avoided. Each lot undergoes rigorous screening and isolation procedures, and is rigorously tested to ensure it is free of contamination from HIV-1, HBV, HCV, Syphilis, Mycoplasma, Fungi, Yeast, and Bacteria.

Application

  • Human Osteoarthritis Leukopak provides a rich source of peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) from osteoarthritis (OA) patients. It enables in-depth study of systemic immune activation, macrophage polarization, and T cell dysregulation associated with joint inflammation and cartilage degeneration. This model is widely used in identifying OA-related cytokine profiles, exploring immune targets, and evaluating novel disease-modifying osteoarthritis drugs (DMOADs).
