Advance Immortalized Human Bone Marrow-Derived Mesenchymal Stem Cells for regenerative medicine, osteogenesis, and multipotent differentiation studies.
Immortalized human bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells (hBM-MSCs) are generated from primary human MSCs by transduction with SV40 large T-Ag to extend their replicative lifespan without compromising key stem cell properties. Morphologically, they exhibit a typical spindle-shaped mesenchymal appearance and possess the ability to self-renew and differentiate into multiple mesenchymal lineages, including osteogenic, adipogenic, and chondrogenic lineages under appropriate conditions. They express MSC-specific markers such as CD73, CD90, and CD105. Due to their genetic stability, multilineage potential, and immunomodulatory functions, immortalized hBM-MSCs provide a reliable and renewable source for regenerative medicine, stem cell biology, and immunotherapy research. These cells are extensively used in models of bone repair, inflammation, and hematopoietic support.

Immortalized Human Bone Marrow-Derived Mesenchymal Stem Cells (hMSCs) have versatile applications. These cells are valuable for studying the bone marrow microenvironment and exploring how environmental signals influence hematopoiesis. Additionally, they are also applied in regenerative medicine, gene-based therapeutic interventions, cell differentiation and gene regulation, as well as cell-based screening assays. Immortalized hMSCs serve as essential tools for various research areas with potential implications for therapeutic advancements.

After immortalization, mesenchymal stem cells often lose some of their original characteristics. The success rate of differentiating them into osteoblasts or chondrocytes is very low. Even when differentiation occurs, the results are significantly less effective compared to primary stem cells. Therefore, this product is not recommended for induced differentiation into bone or cartilage.
For the Immortalized Human Bone Marrow-Derived Mesenchymal Stem Cells, we typically use the SV40 transfection method for immortalization. However, upon customer request, we can also use the hTERT method for transfection.
