Porcine Artery Endothelial Cells are derived from healthly porcinine artery.
Porcine Artery Endothelial Cells (PAECs) are derived from healthy porcine arterial tissue and are cryopreserved after primary culture. They express markers including von Willebrand factor (vWF), CD34, CD146, and VEGF receptors. Due to the physiological similarity between porcine and human cardiovascular systems, PAECs serve as a relevant in vitro model for studying vascular biology, endothelial function, and related pathologies. They are frequently used in preclinical research on atherosclerosis, thrombosis, and inflammation. Their application extends to testing biomaterials and cardiovascular implants under conditions mimicking human vascular environments. These cells exhibit limited proliferation in vitro and should be stored and handled with care to avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles. The cells undergo rigorous screening and isolation procedures, and are rigorously tested to ensure they are free of contamination from Mycoplasma, Fungi, Yeast, and Bacteria.

Porcine Artery Endothelial Cells (PAECs) are used to model human vascular endothelium for investigating cardiovascular functions, endothelial permeability, and inflammatory responses. These cells are suitable for in vitro vascular assays due to their morphological and functional similarity to human endothelial cells. Applications include vascular biology research, biomaterial testing, and xenotransplantation studies focusing on endothelial activation and graft compatibility.
