Description

Rabbit Liver Vascular Fibroblasts (RLVF) are primary mesenchymal cells isolated from the hepatic vasculature of rabbits. These fibroblasts exhibit spindle-shaped morphology and grow adherently in vitro. As key structural and regulatory cells within the hepatic vessel wall, they contribute to extracellular matrix production and vascular remodeling. Rabbit vascular fibroblasts are involved in fibrogenesis and endothelial–mesenchymal interactions under both physiological and pathological conditions. The cells express mesenchymal markers such as vimentin and fibronectin. All cells are cryopreserved at early passage. Each lot undergoes rigorous screening and isolation procedures and is tested to ensure it is free from contamination by Mycoplasma, Fungi, Yeast, and Bacteria.

Application

  • RLVF are applied in liver fibrosis and vascular remodeling research to investigate fibroblast-mediated ECM deposition, endothelial–mesenchymal signaling, and hepatic vascular pathophysiology. These cells support in vitro modeling of hepatic fibrogenesis, sinusoidal remodeling, and inflammation-driven stromal changes. RLVF are also valuable for screening antifibrotic agents, studying fibroblast activation pathways, and exploring the stromal microenvironment in liver disease progression and regeneration models.
