Rat Corneal Epithelial Cells are primarily used in studies related to corneal epithelial wound healing, ocular drug delivery, and therapeutic agent screening for eye diseases. They serve as an ideal in vitro models to assess the effects of growth factors, cytokines, and pharmacological agents on corneal repair. RCECs are widely applied in research on corneal regeneration mechanisms, cytotoxicity testing of ophthalmic drugs, and the development of treatments for conditions such as dry eye disease and corneal ulcers. Additionally, these cells are useful in the evaluation of contact lens materials and their impact on corneal epithelial health.
