Neonatal rat dermal fibroblasts are widely used in dermatological and regenerative research to model skin development, wound healing, and scar formation. Due to their ability to mimic native fibroblast behavior in vitro, they are an excellent choice for investigating fibroblast-ECM interactions, fibrosis pathways, and cytokine signaling. RDFn are also used in drug toxicity assays, biomaterial testing, and 3D skin equivalent construction. Their neonatal origin provides a more proliferative and less senescent phenotype, making them especially suitable for long-term culture studies.
