Rat Hepatic Stellate Cells (RHSCs) are indispensable for studying liver fibrosis, hepatic regeneration, and the cellular mechanisms underlying chronic liver diseases such as nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) and cirrhosis. They are widely used to investigate fibrotic signaling pathways, ECM remodeling, retinoid metabolism, and stellate cell-hepatocyte interactions. RHSCs are also utilized in high-throughput screening of antifibrotic agents and co-culture models simulating hepatic microenvironments in both 2D and 3D systems.
