Description

Rat Hepatocytes Suspension-Adult are primary liver cells isolated from adult rat liver tissue, provided in a high-viability, single-cell suspension format. They exhibit rounded or polygonal morphology and remain free-floating in standard suspension cultures. These metabolically active parenchymal cells are essential for xenobiotic metabolism, protein synthesis, and detoxification processes. In suspension, they retain expression of key hepatic markers such as albumin and HNF4α, while cytochrome P450 enzyme expression and enzymatic activity may decline over time in suspension. The cells are non-proliferative / terminally differentiated. To ensure reliable experimental outcomes, repeated freeze-thaw cycles should be avoided. The cells undergo rigorous screening and isolation procedures, and are rigorously tested to ensure they are free of contamination from Mycoplasma, Fungi, Yeast, and Bacteria.
