Description

Rat Lung Fibroblasts-Adult are primary mesenchymal cells isolated from the interstitial connective tissue of adult rat lungs. These cells exhibit a spindle-shaped morphology and grow as adherent, contact-inhibited monolayers under standard culture conditions. As key structural and regulatory cells within lung tissue, they actively participate in extracellular matrix (ECM) synthesis, remodeling, and wound healing processes. Rat Lung Fibroblasts-Adult express mesenchymal markers including vimentin, fibronectin, and PDGFR-α, and can upregulate α-smooth muscle actin (α-SMA) upon activation. Cryopreserved at early passage, these cells maintain high viability, consistent proliferation rates, and stable gene expression profiles. For optimal performance, repeated freeze-thaw cycles should be avoided. The cells undergo rigorous screening and isolation procedures, and are rigorously tested to ensure they are free of contamination from Mycoplasma, Fungi, Yeast, and Bacteria.
