Rat Primary Tracheal Fibroblasts from AcceGen are isolated from tissue of adult Sprague-Dawley Rats.

Description

Rat Tracheal Fibroblasts are isolated from the tracheal tissues of rats. Cryopreserved at early passage, these cells exhibit a spindle-shaped morphology. They function in producing extracellular matrix to support tracheal structure, regulating tissue repair, and interacting with epithelial cells, with relevance to studies on tracheal stenosis, asthma, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Rat Tracheal Fibroblasts express vimentin and maintain a normal diploid karyotype. Each lot undergoes rigorous screening and isolation procedures, and is rigorously tested to ensure it is free of contamination from Mycoplasma, Fungi, Yeast, and Bacteria.

Application

  • Rat Tracheal Fibroblasts can be used as an in vitro model to study tracheal remodeling and pathogenesis in diseases such as asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and tracheal stenosis. For example, by investigating the molecular pathways of their proliferation and extracellular matrix secretion, they provide a better understanding of fibroblast-mediated tracheal structural changes and pathological processes, aiding in exploring treatments for tracheal fibrotic disorders.
