Description

Rat Vein Endothelial Cells are isolated from the vein tissues of rats. Cryopreserved at early passage, these cells exhibit a cobblestone morphology. They function in maintaining vascular integrity, regulating venous tone, facilitating nutrient exchange, and mediating leukocyte adhesion during inflammation, with relevance to studies on venous thrombosis, varicose veins, and chronic venous insufficiency. Rat Vein Endothelial Cells express endothelial markers such as CD31 and von Willebrand Factor, and maintain a normal diploid karyotype. Each lot undergoes rigorous screening and isolation procedures, and is rigorously tested to ensure it is free of contamination from Mycoplasma, Fungi, Yeast, and Bacteria.

Application

  • Rat Vein Endothelial Cells act as an in vitro model to study venous dysfunction in diseases like deep vein thrombosis and chronic venous insufficiency. For example, by examining their role in regulating vascular tone, thrombosis formation, and inflammatory response pathways, they enhance understanding of venous endothelial physiology and pathological changes, aiding in exploring treatments for venous vascular disorders.
